Transcending the gender box

Transcending the Gender Box

Transcending the Gender Box is a drop-in-center, which is open to the public, but is a safe place which caters to Transgender and Gender non-conforming  specific needs. A place in which the Trans-expansive community can call home. We provide various services and provide space for various group meetings. All of our services and resources are free to the community, this is why indivdual donations are important. All meetings or groups that meet are open to everyone, unless it is specified as Trans specific only, but all groups have outreach into the Trans-expansive community, as the Trans-expansive community has various interest.

Everyone is welcomed into our facility, regardless of Race, Gender, Gender Identity, Sexual Orientation, Age (minors must be accompanied by an adult), Class Welfare, Ability or Disability, etc...

Will you consider being a regular donor to Las Vegas TransPride and Transcending the Gender Box? All proceeds go toward the operational cost of Las Vegas TransPride and Transcending the Gender Box and back into our outreach to the Trans-expansive community. Together we can build a safe and productive community!

A-Cafe

The Vegas Anarchist Cafe is a weekly meet-up for networking, building community, and doing some outreach for Anarchists in Las Vegas, which Southern Nevada Alliance of the Libertarian Left has been organizing together with unaffiliated local Anarchists since 2008.

The main idea is just to give Anarchists, anti-statists, and Anarchy-curious fellow travelers a place to meet up and talk in an informal setting at a local coffee-house. There isn’t a fixed business agenda; the idea is to give people a place to find each other. Once they’ve found each other, A-Cafe can serve as a springboard for the independent projects that they may want to start.

The A-Cafe is not a place, it’s an event–a social experiment in urban Anarchy. The A-Cafe is a forum for Anarchists in the Las Vegas area to get to know each other, to hear talks on subjects that interest us, to hang out, shoot the breeze, talk about the projects that we are working on, and to organize new projects. Anyone who’s an Anarchist, anti-statist, or just anarchy-curious is invited to join us.

Drop in any time — The gathering is informal, and based on chatting and sharing information. There isn’t a fixed agenda. (But if you want to set up an organizing meeting for a particular project with a fixed agenda, A-Cafe is a great place to meet people to invite.) Feel free to drop in at any time and leave whenever you need to.

Bring yourself. Bring a friend. And bring anything — ideas you’ve had, projects you’re working on, literature, zines, flyers, art, whatever — that you’d like to share with some like-minded people.

Every Second Saturday of the Month
11:00am - 3:00pm

Vegas Girls of Leather

Contact: Tracey Brown

The mission of the Vegas girls of Leather is to provide leathergirls a place within the greater Leather Community to socialize, learn, educate, contribute, and support each other and their community. The term leathergirl is defined as broadly as possible with the intent of being inclusive, and "girl" not being based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or appearance. Our purpose is to provide camaraderie, and a safe space to any individual who identifies as a leathergirl and to be of service to the Leather Community at large.

Every Last saturday of the month

IWW

We are the wobblies of the greater Las Vegas area. We seek to organize labor against the capitalist class. We seek the abolition of the wage system and of all exploitation within the workplace. We are a group of individuals not afraid to stand up in solidarity to make the changes that must happen to secure a better life for all of our fellow workers. We are open to all peoples, excluding the employing class. We seek to enlighten our fellow Vegas, Henderson, Green Valley, Summerlin, and North Las Vegas residents about the Wobblies and the Industrial Workers of the World. An injury to one is an injury to all
